Discover the Difference

Welcome to Dearborn Heights School District No. 7!

Dear Pardee Families,
I am honored to introduce myself as the new principal of Pardee Elementary School. I am
excited about the opportunity to work with such an incredible staff as we ensure that each and
every student receives an education that leaves a lasting impression and prepares them for the
future.
The 2019-20 school year will mark my 14 th year in education. I have spent the last 13 years with
Lamphere Schools as a physical education teacher, adaptive PE teacher, coach and restorative
practices coordinator. Through these roles and additional leadership positions that I held within
the district, I acquired the knowledge, skills and desire to be an administrator.
I earned my Bachelor of Education from Western Michigan University, my Master of Education
from Saginaw Valley State University and I will be completing my Education Specialist degree
within the next year from Arkansas State University. Although I am an educator, I am also a
husband and father. My wife, Courtney and I have two boys, Jack (6) and Crosby (4).
I am thrilled to be given this opportunity and look forward to immersing myself in our school
community. I believe that every student deserves a quality education in a safe environment and
that is most successful when a school and its families work together for the best interests of our
children. Working together with you and our Pardee team is my top priority. As principal, my
door is always open and I welcome and encourage your input. Please feel free to stop in or make
an appointment to discuss any ideas, suggestions or concerns that you may have.
I look forward to working with you and your child(ren).

With Panda Pride,

Jonathan Ziaja
Principal, Pardee Elementary School
